1. Who we are

GetProspectList ("we", "us") operates getprospectlist.com, a directory of US businesses. GetProspectList is currently operated without a registered corporate entity. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Business information we publish

The directory lists firmographic information about US businesses - name, address, phone, website, category and similar details. This information is compiled from publicly available web pages and business directories. Information about a company as such (its name, address, phone number) is not personal information.

3. Business contact data

Some listings include a contact person's job title and a masked work email (****@domain.com). This data is collected in a business context. The contact's name is never published on the site - it is shown only in paid or free-sample exports under the terms described in our Terms of Service. Full, unmasked contact details are provided only to buyers of a dataset.

We cannot fully guarantee that every address in the "business email" field is a role-based or shared inbox rather than a personal one - some listings inherit a single company-wide contact address from our source data. If you believe your personal email address appears on the site and want it reviewed, contact [email protected].

4. Data about site visitors

When you create an account we store your name, email address and a hashed password (never the password itself). Our server logs record IP address, User-Agent and referring URL for security and abuse prevention. We do not run any JavaScript analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising networks on this site.

5. How we use it

We use visitor data to operate accounts, deliver free samples, process custom data requests, and to detect and prevent abuse of the service (for example, automated scraping or exceeding download limits).

6. Sharing

We do not sell or share visitor account data with third parties. Datasets delivered to buyers - free samples and custom orders - contain business contact data as described above; that is the product itself, not a disclosure of visitor data.

7. Retention

Generated sample files are deleted from our servers 7 days after creation, whether or not they were downloaded. Your account is retained until you ask us to delete it. Server logs are rotated on a routine schedule by our hosting stack.

8. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or review any personal data we hold about you, or about a business contact you believe should not be listed. Because our directory is rebuilt periodically from source data, we cannot guarantee permanent removal from future rebuilds - every request is reviewed individually and acted on where we can. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may ask you to demonstrate control of the email address in question before acting on a request.

California residents: under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell visitor personal information. To exercise these rights, email [email protected].

EU/UK visitors: if data protection law in your jurisdiction applies to our processing of your data, you have equivalent rights of access, correction and erasure - the same contact address applies.

9. Third parties

Our infrastructure is hosted with Hetzner (Germany). We do not yet have an operational email provider connected - outbound account emails are not sent until one is configured. This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives visitors' IP addresses; we plan to self-host fonts to remove this dependency.

10. Security

Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plain text. The source database used to build this directory is kept on infrastructure the public web application cannot access.

11. Children

This service is intended for business use by adults. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under 18.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the last revision.
